My name is Lisa, I live in mid-South Carolina (USA) and I’m 25 years old (born on December 1, 1982).  I am a newlywed (as of June 17, 2006), married to the most wonderful man in the world!  I also am a huge fan of animals - of any kind!  I currently own:

  • One Rough Sable & White Collies - “Daisy”, (sadly her brother, and inspiration for this site, Rocky passed away October, 2005)
  • 2 yorkies - “Banjo” and “Prissy”
  • A Quaker parrot - “Petrie”
  • A Ferret - “Napoleon”
  • A Chow - “Gabriella” (a.k.a. Gabby)
  • A Black Lab / Chow mix - “Toby”
  • A Black Lab mix - “Pup Pup”
  • A turtle - “Sherman”

I am the only child of 2 wonderful parents who were born in the 1940s, and due to my recent marriage I just moved for the first time since I was 3 years old.  I come from a very hugggeeee extended family who all live in the same area I do - and we are all ultra close.. family is a big part of my life, and I’m extremely loyal to them.

In Oct. 2007 I was laid off from my job of 4 years - so currently, I’m a full time wife and soon-to-be first time mommy.  I am pregnant with our first son, Little Jack, who is due to arrive on May 6, 2008!  Providing this website for collie owners has been a passion of mine since it started in 2002, and now, as a stay-at-home wife, I am able give more attention to delivering quality content to collie owners out there.

As far as hobbies go… I love:

  • photography (taking photos, editing, etc)
  • creative writing
  • swimming
  • web design
  • the beach
  • anything outdoors
  • shopping (haha)
  • animals
  • and reading reading reading!!  (I’m a TOTAL bookworm!!).  
    • All time favorite book is “1984″ 
    • Favorite author is Madeline L’Engle
    • and favorite series is the Harry Potter books! 

My favorite music genres are country, oldies, and 80s music, but i listen to and enjoy anything (besides rap and heavy metal).  I’m also a pretty huge American Idol fanatic.   My favorite song is “What a wonderful world” by Luis Armstrong, favorite movie is “Wuthering Heights” (1939) and favorite actress is Bette Davis.  I’m a complete old soul.. i love classic anything.. classic movies, classic tv (like the TV land channel!!), classic jazz/blues, etc. … and I have always identified better with people much older than me (i guess because I come from an “older” family).   I tend to be introverted.. and am usually really quiet and keep to myself.  I love laughing and goofing off though, and my sense of humor is a mixture of dry quick wit / sarcasm.
