My name is Lisa, I live in mid-South Carolina (USA) and I'm 24 years old (born on December 1, 1982). I am a newlywed, married to the most wonderful (and hottest, in my opinion) man in the world! I also am a huge fan of animals - of any kind! I currently own
- One Rough Sable & White Collies - "Daisy", (sadly her brother, and inspiration for this site, Rocky passed away October, 2005)
- 2 yorkies - "Banjo" (pictured below) and "Prissy"
- 2 parrots - "Petrie" (pictured below) and "Little Bird"
- A Ferret - "Napoleon"
- 2 Guinea Pigs - "Raeven & PomPom"
- A Chow Chow puppy - "Gabriella" (a.k.a. Gabby)
- A Black Lab / Chow mix - "Toby"
- A turtle - "Sherman"
I am the only child of 2 wonderful parents who were born in the 1940s, and due to my recent marriage I just moved for the first time since I was 3 years old. I come from a very hugggeeee extended family who all live in the same area I do - and we are all ultra close.. family is a big part of my life, and I'm extremely loyal to them.
Currently I'm a full time Workforce Analyst / Payroll Auditor for a non-profit company for the deaf. However, teaching and helping children are my true passions, and my overall intention is to get a PH.D in education (early childhood) or child psychology. Someday I even want to start my own early childhood development center. My first job (from age 14 to right at age 19) was working in a kindergarten daycare - and that's how i found my "calling" in life.
As far as hobbies go... I love:
- photography (taking photos, editing, etc)
- creative writing
- swimming
- web design
- the beach
- anything outdoors
- shopping (haha)
- animals
- and reading reading reading!! (I'm a TOTAL bookworm!!).

Favorite song is "What a wonderful world" by Luis Armstrong, favorite movie is "Wuthering Heights" (1939) and favorite actress is Bette Davis. I'm a complete old soul.. i love classic anything.. classic movies, classic tv (like the TV land channel!!), classic jazz/blues, etc. ... and I have always identified better with people much older than me (i guess because I come from an "older" family).
I tend to be introverted.. and am usually really quiet and keep to myself. I love laughing and goofing off though, and my sense of humor is a mixture of dry quick wit / sarcasm.
Oh.. and I'm also the actual founder of our Collie Dog Owners group and the affiliated sites (CollieDogOwners.com, www.CollieShop.com) (started it Feb of 2002).
