Are you a collie expert? Breeder? Kennel founder? Or are you just an enthusiast who has read your share of training manuals? Regardless, we are in search of talented volunteer writers to join our team here at CollieDogOwners.com. Writers should be able to post a new article on their chosen subject at least twice a month, and must be comfortable with the basic web data entry page we use to create article content. Your articles and byline will appear in the Collie Articles section of our website.
All writers receive an “About You” page that will highlight your acheivements, your kennel (if you are a recognized breeder), or can spotlight your own collies. As a 5 year old established website, Collie Dog Owners is a great place to get your writing recognized and garner exposure for your own collie website.

With the new overhaul, you will find many changes in the way Collie Dog Owners looks and feels.
~ New Articles Section: We no longer have our articles split in basic and advanced pages. All articles are listed in the collie articles section, with categories found in the righthand sidebar of the page. Select a category and you will find all of the articles in that section. Click on a title to read the full article!
~ More Articles: With the expanded Wordpress content management, new collie articles are being added every day.
~ New Site Blog: You’re looking at it! The Collie News page is devoted to all the goings-ons of this site and in the collie world at large. Here you will find news about site contests, upcoming collie shows, obedience trials, and other special current event collie news!
~ New Message Board and Chat Room in the works! Within the next month we will be adding a message board to help you stay in touch with collie owners world wide.

The CollieDogOwners.com has had a major overhaul!
Last week the entire site received an update in it’s look, navigation structure, and page content. The articles section and blog section was converted to use the Wordpress content management tool, making updating articles and utilizing numerous authors very easy!
The layout, ease of use, and new method of adding updated articles has put the Collie Dog Owners in a much better position to serve the public when it comes to fulfilling it’s mission to be the best source of collie information online.

Happy Birthday to the Collie Dog Owners!
It was 5 long years ago that Collie Dog Owners was first founded. Along that way we have experienced many ups and downs, but just like Lassie, we have remained loyal to our calling. We are just as dedicated today as we were then to providing collie owners with the best source of collie information - anywhere!

Lisa, founder of CollieDogOwners.com and CollieShop.com was married today at 2:00 pm to her prince charming, Kevin.
The ceremony was renaissance themed and took place with over 100 close family and friends in the same church the couple met at.
The ceremony will be followed by a week long cabin retreat honeymoon in Gaitlinburg, Tennessee. The newlyweds will not be preventing the growth of a family, and looks forward to whatever the Lord has planned for their lives.

It is with a sad heart that I have to report that my beloved collie Rocky - the one who inspired the beginning of Collie Dog Owners - has passed away. He took ill over a week ago and he spent a week in the hospital. The doctor thought he was better - and he did seem to be improving, but he suddenly went down hill yesterday and passed away through the night. We believe he had a stroke, but the doctors really didn’t know for sure.
I rescued 4 year old Rocky and his sister Daisy from the Pets Inc. animal shelter in my hometown in February of 2002. My first beloved smooth collie I had had since childhood had passed away a week before - and in my heart I new I had to have another collie. And there they were - Rocky and Daisy - the most beautiful creatures in the world. I vowed to learn everything I could about collies, so my search on the internet began. However at that time, there was not a lot of collie information to be found online. So, I opened the Collie Dog Owners MSN group to fill that empty collie void and began recruiting other collie owners to join me! I figured, if I couldn’t find the information I needed, I would get it to come to me. And thus, the Collie Dog Owners was founded.
Rocky was a great dog. You can see his black and white photos on the top of every page on our site - and he was the inspiration for many designs at the CollieShop.com.
Rocky, my love, you are greatly missed. I’ll see you again one day, my sweet Rocky Top, and we’ll once again “play ball”.

Thank you for all the years here on our message boards! But the time has come to bid adieu to you all. Managing the boards have become so time consuming that it is affecting my personal offline life - and it is sad when adults can no longer come together to chat about collies without bickering. Feel free to contact me in the future if you ever want to chat! And don’t worry - the main site will remain open, just the message boards are closing down for now. Have fun and I’ll be seein you…
